So, how did I get from that guy (left) to this guy (right) - from what started out as a 15 year broadcasting career, to a path that evolved into a 20 year real estate career. Not so much an evolution as a progression really; from an industry where you get out to meet your audience, listen to what people have to say, and find creative ways to market your product – to an industry where you get out to meet people, listen to what they have to say, and find creative ways to market your product. See, not all that different.

It’s been a long and winding road with radio stops in Montreal (CKO), Ottawa Valley (CKOB), Toronto(CFGM), Orangeville (DC103), and now a real estate service area stretching from Mississauga to Orangeville, Brampton to Shelburne, and the outlying rural neighbourhoods of Caledon and Dufferin County. Having lived in condos, rural estate homes, a one room cabin, and town homes in most of these areas, I figure I’ve pretty well personally test driven most anything you’re looking to buy or sell.

If, after all this time, there’s one thing I’ve learned – it’s how to listen. It was that way when I started out over 30 years ago, and it’s still that way today. So, a little extra weight & a little less hair notwithstanding, I guess not much has changed after all.

The beauty of serving such a wide area and vast assortment of properties is the daily variety I encounter. In the span of a few hours I can be leading the way up a rickety old ladder in a barn that has defied gravity for the past 100 years, and the next – I’m leaning over a balcony on the 40th floor in a downtown highrise. How many mornings have I spent anxious moments on a rural highway that should be closed due to whiteout conditions, only to end the day on dry pavement in the city, thinking – maybe I don’t need snow tires after all. I love what I do. It’s interesting, it’s challenging, and it’s fun.
